Confidence and Inner Strength

Part One

The client had been through an ordeal which resulted in not only losing physical health - but mental health was also endangered.

  • You must get your confidence back.
  • You have been shocked and fear has eroded your confidence.
  • Read good books on the subject of health - go back to the source and drink deeply of knowledge based on the truth.

Do you meditate?' No! I don't have time.' Then perhaps you misunderstand the meaning of the term meditation.

Meditation can be as simple as realizing that the emotions are not in tune with your logic.
And it is also within this moment that you realize that something is wrong and you make a choice to return to your centre.
It can happen in a moment - with practice.

We know when things are not right. We know when we are not happy. And we know that in order to stay in a negative mood we must continually feed the mind with negative thoughts - usually flavoured with something like: 'Oh, woe is me!'

On occasions like these - my mom visits to remind me that I am thinking too much of myself and that I need to reflect on the plight of others more.

Good advice - I hope it helps.

 

Part Two

I had written: ‘Meditation can be as simple as realizing that the emotions are not in tune with your logic. And it is also within this moment that you realize that something is wrong and you make a choice to return to your centre. It can happen in a moment - with practice.’

The question from the reader being – how do I do this?

Well – the truth of the matter lies within – it’s not outside. As long as we continually think that there is something out there that will ‘DO’ something to me – the longer we will spend energy in “looking for... instead of listening to...”

How many times have you walked past an article in your living environment – noticed it and remarked (through self talk) that it would serve itself more appropriately if it were ‘put away properly.’
And how many times have we disregarded this ‘self talk’ only to come back around once more – at another time - and be faced with the same scenario? My answer therefore is; that within a moment of choice we are able to enter into a state of correctness in thinking and acting – which for me is a state of fine meditation.

All the best in finding your own centre - I suspect that you will find, as I do, that each moment is an opportunity for meditation.
